“There are no NCAA Women’s games today” is sprawled across the top of their women’s basketball site AND YET the scoreboard lists 12 games, two of which went to overtime.
Intriguing stuff in the Ivys: Yale is 5-2 (and Gobrecht earned her 500th win. Congrats.), Harvard is 5-1 and they play Princeton this weekend, who is 6-0.
Kind of expected a better game between Northern Iowa (8-4 MVC) and Illinois State (8-3), but the Redbirds took down the Panthers with ease.
Ditto for MVCers Wichita State (9-3) and Missouri State (9-3), but the Bears handled the Shockers without too much trouble (at least in the second half), 85-67. Mighty crowed in that conference.
In a match up of top dogs in the MAAC, Marist (12-1) had a 5-point lead over Fairfield (11-2) in the first and added one more to the lead to take the win, 60-54.
