after a short delay (fingers crossed.)
Upsets I’ve noticed about the early games
Wake Forest over Boston College, 69-53. Sigh… remember when BC, under Inglese, was a program to be feared? That’s a proud legacy of destruction, Mr. retired AD.
Crushing: NC State downed by Virginia Tech (1-15 in the ACC) courtesy of a last second shot. Sigh… remember when VaTech and its international players was a program to be reckoned with? Ah, the siren that is football….
Auburn over Florida, 71-49. Hmmmm…. Amanda and company seem to have fallen on hard times.
UNC Wilmington over Hofstra, 76-75. Thought Wilmington had given up on the idea of winning when they let Cynthia Cooper scoot.
Purdue has had a miserable season, but that didn’t stop them from taking down Wisconsin, 58-56.
Bubbles popping, as #25 Syracuse gets taken down by Wake Forest (2-14 in the ACC).
Gardner-Webb (9-11, Big South) takes down Radford (14-6) with authority, 70-56.
Ouch. Susie’s done a great job this year, but her Pitt team laid an egg against VaTech, 51-45. Guess the Hokies are looking to pulling an Old Big East Mountaineers, huh?
That in-state rivalry is no joke – Michigan State beats Michigan soundly, 69-49.
Ole Miss falls to Arkansas, 72-61.
The Marist win was big, but Patty Coyle and her St. Peter’s team has got to be tickled pink about taking down Rider to make out of the first round of the MAAC.
Ball State seems to be back on track. They took down perennial powerhouse Central Michigan, who suffered from “Crystal or nothing” syndrome this season.
Eastern Michigan: the definition of “on a roll.” They defeat Western Michigan, 74-65.
Penguins lose! Slain by the Cleveland State Vikings.
Yes, they are no longer an “embarrassing automatic win.” William & Mary, 68-56.
Links will be added as long as my plane is delayed. Go watch some basketball!!!!
LANDED AND IT’S LATE, but had to add two quick notes:
Wowza, great win for Azzi and the Dons as they upset Pacific, 74-64. They’re on to the WCC semis.
Typical WCC – BYU over St. Mary’s by a point.
